Planting the "little" Clematis near the fence, we hoped it would make it so keeping the roots cool was a priority this Summer since it was so hot and dry. So, each day, like with a lot of my plants I'd make the time to check on the Sweet Autumn bloomer.Taken August 18th, this pic shows lots of little buds along it's stems, but it was the the extent of just where it had climbed that got me.

It had not only spread up and along the fence, but also completely devoured our old wooden cedar chair too. And it didn't stop there. It has continued to stretch up and across the Pres' nut trees (yes, his NUT TREES), up the drain-spout and...well you be the judge from the pix I took eleven days later.
