Making Room

Each year Alva comes out of her box in the closet and is given a drink of warm water.  After hibernating since late Fall, she must be treated gently and not overwhelmed.  "Water sparingly and trim any dead, dried shoots gently," said Joyce when she gave her to me. They (because now there are two large, oval pots of Alva) are then placed near the other houseplants.

This year, making room was a bit of a challenge.

Hello, your house plants are beautiful. You must have the green thumb.

Wishing you a happy day!

What type of plant is "Alva"? All your plants are beautiful. I don't like plants indoors so I only have them outside. But now that I'm seeing yours, I wonder to myself why it is I feel that way? :-) Love, Andrea xoxo

I would love to have all those plants but I am so bad at watering them and keeping them alive. I see a few different ones there that I have killed over the years
