Each and every "bump" I've encountered has made me who I am.
Like you, not only am I grateful for all those "bumps," but also what they taught me.
Over all the paths I've traveled during my life, there have been numerous lumps and bumps. Like all of you, a lot were rough. A lot were purposeful. All had meaning in one way or another... and some were scary. One of my more recent bumps in the road went like this...
Sleeping soundly in their luxurious king size bed, their cat,"Tuna," and I seemed to form an immediate bond. In fact, the bed was so comfortable and cozy, I didn't even want to get up to go to the bathroom.
However, that 16 oz cup of Chamomile tea I had after supper was pressing on my bladder. Throwing back the covers, and swinging my legs over the edge of the bed, I began walking slowly toward the bathroom door although still half asleep.
Bumping into the corner of the doorway, when I stepped backward to preposition myself, I stepped on something....something soft...something furry...something squishy! Groping for the light switch, this is what was there.
just seeing, saying, and sharing...
