A Folk Tale: The Crowed Crane

When was the last time you went to the Zoo?  Considering the ages of my kids and grand-kids, I can tell you it was along time ago.  As for "me, myself and I," it seemed like far too long.  Yes...I decided to go Roger Williams Park Zoo located in Middletown, RI.

Coming across the enclosure holding these West African Crowned Cranes, I found the African Folk Tale rather interesting.  It speaks of how the Crowned Cranes got their golden crown of feathers.  Their beautiful crown of feathers was a gift from the King that they saved, according to an African Folk Tale.

I love zoos but haven't been to one in a long time. Loved the folk tale and the cranes

Hello, the cranes are beautiful. I have seen them in the Baltimore Zoo.
