Just Plain Fair

Here in New England, Fall brings on the fairs.  The Pres is not fond of them (other than the food), so we rarely go.  However,  I always enjoy them.

Serving as a contact for TLGV (The Last Green Valley), yesterday my volunteering paid off in more ways than one.

Volunteering to work (if you call explaining what "TLGV is all about work) at the Woodstock Fair , I once again felt the excitement in the air...

saw the smiles on people's faces, and felt the happiness all around me. When I went on my breaks, I even found the critters that the local farms display, along with their produce.  To me, the young FFA (Future Farmers of America) students showing off all their hard work is always rewarding because without farmers, this country would be in bad shape.

just seeing, saying, and sharing...

Hello, that is cool you were able to work at the fair. Our State Fair ends today and I have not been in years. I do look the 4-H section of the fairs. I love seeing the critters. Happy Labor Day, have a great new week ahead!

I love the Fall fairs. I'm the only one in my family that does. I love it all, the animals, the craft exhibits, the come-ons, the whole thing. Don't ever eat fair food though.

I have never been to, "Our state fair is a great state fair.." but we always ago to the county fair in Michigan. So many memories...we were there just last month. Oh, those elephant ears!!

Our local fair is next week. Wade never cared much for it but would go once to eat. I, on the other hand, have always loved it.

Fun! I love county fairs, that's what we call them in California. Your post reminds me that I have until Thursday to turn in my entries for our fair next month.

Lots of fun! I love the purple cow! And I enjoy seeing the real cattle, too.

Oh, how I love the Fair - and we did not get to go this year due to our travel schedule. Thanks for sharing your photos so that I could live vicariously!
