Standing Out

Walking down one of the thoroughfares, we passed an enclosure holding the most elegant looking flamingos.

That white one stood out like a sore thumb.  It was the only one who was not shrimpy-pink.

Mesmerized by the almost white one, I kept snapping and snapping in order to share with you and those at

until the ones standing on one leg caught my eye.

Is standing on one leg comfortable for anyone out there?

  1. Are you kidding me? Half the time I lose my balance standing on both legs! Beautiful birds.

  2. Wonderful shots of the flamingo. The white one could be a juvenile? Enjoy your day!

  4. I can stand on one leg for a while. But I practice that because it helps my weak hips.

  5. The photos and the birds are beautiful.

I'll never forget how much I detested those pink plastic birds many seemed to have in their yard. Then I saw the real bird...I realized that day there are PINK birds for real!
