Taken March 21st, these are the sibling Chipmunks that I am still trying to get in the same photo.
They were so darn tiny!
I fell in love with them when I saw them wrestling in the snow at the base of the tree.
It all happened so fast, I couldn't get the shot.
Dodging and weaving, scampering and dashing, they have dug quite a collection of tunnels, as you can see. Hoping they don't eat the Lily of the Valley or the Adder's Tongue that I have moved there among the ferns, they seem to focus on the dropped seed from the feeders.
Fast forward to April (last week). This is what I did manage to capture.

Oh how cute are they! Keep watching. I'm sure you'll see them both.
I've only ever seen one chipmunk here - it lives in my rock garden and darts on the banks of our summer stream. I, too, enjoy watching it (though I'm not fond of it eating my poppies).
I love the cute chippers.. They are fun to watch running around the yard..Thanks in advance for linking up and sharing your critter post.. Have a happy weekend!

Very cute. Never fails. They grow up and move on to find their own way in the world.
