Yin/Yang

When the Pres and I were at his Cardiologist's last week, looking at me, the doctor said, "You are such a caring person.  You want all the answers to everything.  You are so logical."  Then pointing to the Pres, he said, "Look at him.  You two are such direct opposites...the perfect example of Yin/Yang."

Although it is too early to take Alva out of the closet, I checked on her the other day when I was downstairs in the Utility Room.

Of course, compared to the beautiful flowers shown above, she is a sorry sight, don't you agree?

Yet those of you who have been with me a while know the transformation that occurs every year after being neglected since September.

"Hope" should be her middle name!

  7. Opposites attract. I think my hubby and I are also great examples of Yin and Yang. This works well in so many areas. I also am grateful that usually when my hubby is ill and needs me to well, I am. The opposite is true. I'd hate to think if we were both high strung in the same area of life at the same time. That would not be good.

  11. You are like ME! I have lots of questions on a list for the doctor and always want to know why, and the reason for everything. Some of my friends do not care, they just do what the doctor tells them and ask no questions. Not me. Your Stargazer Lily is beautiful!!

  14. Isn't that interesting that the Dr. would compare you and your hubby to yin and yang - a complement for sure.
Hope could be her first name! LOL

  15. This is me and The Husband to a T. Somehow we connect in the middle.

Your little lady...are you trying to simulate the equinox? I have done that with poinsettias. Fun. Let us know the ongoing progress.

Well wishes for your husband going out your way! :)

  17. The lily bloom is beautiful, I have a real soft spot for lilies... I think you are typical of many couples. It seems the men don't take a lot of interest in info from a doctor, it's the woman who gathers the info. At least that's true of this household...
I don't know Alva but can't wait to see what comes...
