Flat Out

Sharing with you and those at

With all the snow we got and more predicted this week, we wanted to ensure that all the birds can access the suet. This seemed to work for the Finch so now we are hoping the others will have easier access too.

Tell me how cute that little Bluebird is.

Go ahead, tell me...:)

One of the days that it wasn't snowing, although I don't remember when that was, I had my nose glued to the kitchen window.  Watching the feeder activity, I finally caught the Northern Flicker away from the suet!

  4. You're such a thoughtful steward of the birdies. Have you ever taken suet or peanut butter and applied it to the crevices of bark on the trees? It sure keeps them busy.

The other recipe you wanted will be up on my blog in the next week or two. I think it is the best cake I have ever made. The boys are already bugging me to make it again!

  9. That little bluebird is cute!! I hope they nest in the bluebird box this year instead of the swallows. Nice pics of the Flicker! More snow? It's missing us again but we might get a couple of inches on Friday.

  12. See how the Flicker blends in! Oh my gosh, the bluebird is adorable!!! He is all puffed up from the cold, don't they migrate? And the colors!! Some red on the branches, the pale grey tree, and the beautiful blue and white. Uh oh! I missed the post below, but I see it now. Oh my gosh you were brave to stand under that icicle to get a picture!
