For those of you who are fortunate enough to see Blue Herons on a regular basis, this post may be boring. Yet, if you know me at all, you'll smile at my excitement when I was able to get these pix of MY FIRST AND PROBABLY LAST BLUE HERON THIS YEAR...:)
Sharing with you and those at
I did make you smile, right?

they are common here but i still love to see them no matter where they are..
We have grey herons. Are they different? We see them sort of regularly, but they are still very special birds.
love these pterodactyls. :)
I know we do have some around this area....maybe they migrate...I don't know yet.... but, as I'm just getting acquainted with a lot of birding stuff...I'll study it up a bit and be ready for next season....
Yes, you certainly DID make me smile! Heron's are such tall impressive birds, whether standing or flying. We have only seen a blue heron maybe three times. And each time it is so exciting!
Don't worry - they're scarce here too - I liked seeing yours.
he's a beauty.
Beautiful shots of the GB Heron! They are pretty common here, even seen thru the winter.. Have a great evening..
other than pictures I have never seen one so I find this really exciting. Nice shots
Really nice captures JP.
Seeing herons is never anything short of awesome
It is always lovely to see these elegant birds.
I see them almost every day, and they always make me smile. Such an interesting bird to watch I never tire of seeing them.
