Earthly Light

Walking in to check on the immature, I caught the late afternoon sun just above the trees. Scanning for the eagles, I snapped, not realizing that there was a neat reflection off one of the pines. Pretty cool, huh?
Why?  Who knows?!

Watching the immature for a few minutes perched in a pine, it gracefully spread it's wings and was airborne in a split second, landing gracefully in yet another tree. The parents must be good teachers because it has done well with it's flying, maneuvering, landing lessons thus far.

When the immature settled down and returned to the nest to feed, one of the adults soared overhead, making it's presence known. That's my cue to exit stage right...

Sharing with you and those at

Did you really think I would not give you a picture of "the kid"?
