Barn Charm # 57

Sharing a barn found one day while in Florida.  When Sis was feeling up to it, I would take her for a ride just so she could get out of the house.

Sis lives in the Panhandle of Florida, not far from Alabama.  Unlike Connecticut, it is flat...really flat.  Overgrown with brush and grasses, this place appeared abandoned and was in the middle of nowhere.

  6. That could be an old barn in the Ozarks; I love seeing them but feel sad that they aren't used anymore. Hope your Sis is feeling better now. Mine is coming to visit this weekend.

  8. Oh, my goodness!!!! My heart jumped into my throat when I opened this post!! I swear that could be the barn on the farm where I grew up! Right general area. Since Mama died I haven't been by the place much. Long story, but the place wound up being sold and not too long after he finally took possession, he died, too, and I don't think the place has been cared for very well since then. I'm headed up there on Friday and am going to make it a point to go over there just to see. I'm glad you took that drive stopped for that photo.

  10. Looks like it could be in Va. I look for barns in Florida with my husband when we visit but never see any. You found a good one, sad it is neglected.

  12. Just popped back in to say that my heart can slip back where it belongs now. Your lovely barn is not the one on our farm. Took a look today and, unfortunately, ours is in very sad shape - far worse than that one. I'm so afraid one of these days, it'll be in a heap. The owner is just neglecting the whole place.
