They'll Be Back!

Before we know it, my little Hummingbirds will be returning to the Hollow with their aerial antics and attitudes.  They are such a joy to watch as I sit on the stoop of the shed.  Nature teaches us so much.  I hope others stop to learn from her as well.

Today is Tuesday and it's time to link up with Angela at WVTreasures for her Tuesdays Show & Tail.  This is the post I'm bringing with me.

  2. Fascinating little birds and very territorial. I've been here two years now and haven't been able to attract one to my feeders. I guess I haven't found the perfect spot yet. Nice photo.

  4. We had a couple of hummers that stayed all summer last year. I love watching them from our large double window in the dining room. :)

  5. I love the little hummers, but they love my nephews yard better for some reason. I think it's the type of food.

  6. That's a great shot. Very pretty. I can't wait for ours to come back too. :)

Oh! I went to Walmart yesterday and (of course) have to peruse the bird feeders. They had one of those big sunflower feeders with all the holes in it! It was $22 but I splurged and bought it anyway! And I know that's about the same price as the one on Amazon but somehow not calling it "shipping & handling" made it better!

  7. Hummingbirds are just fascinating to watch (if you can find them!) I've only seen one here since we've lived here, but have seen many in other states, especially CA and NC. Hope you get lots of customers. Ann

  11. I love hummingbirds. For some reason, I have not had success in enticing them to my feeders at This Old House. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. They are certainly residents of this area.

  16. It will be awhile until those little guys come back to Iowa... I always like to go to Hummingbird Migration Map and there is a map that shows how they come from the south to the north. It's really cool.. gives one a heads up on when they will be here..
Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:~)

  21. HELLO!! I've so enjoyed reading your posts from the last week that I missed while on a mini-vacay! You will have to let us know when our little hummingbirds return. We had them here last year up until late fall--This year I plan to put out a feeder for them to see if I can attract a few more.

I hope your week is going well!!
