I JUST HAD TO TELL YOU ALL THIS!
Today, I decided that I was going to make Peanut Brittle. Why? Well, one of the blogs that I follow is A Rural Journal ,produced and directed by Nancy. The other day she did a post on her homemade peanut brittle so I thought I'd give it a try...because it did not involve rolling dough into balls!!!
So, to my friend, Nancy, I send a big hug and squeeze...:)
'Cause I'm planning on eating this stuff tonight!!! The heck with gift giving...I'm thinking about ME today!
P.S. She also gave us Followers a heads up about chipping a tooth on the Spanish peanuts. YEP...I did. Calling the dentist this morning as soon as they open!

I'm going to try Nancy's recipe today also. The recipe I normally use will be posted tomorrow. I really can't see that much difference. You would love the French Bark posted today. Easy and wonderful! No balls to roll.
Ouch! And no, I am not getting a kickback from the American Dental Association.
So happy it turned out for you, dear. Enjoy! (after you get your tooth fixed.)
Oh no on the tooth! Enjoy your brittle :-)
I plan to make some too. I use Mom's old recipe; hope I can find it easily.
I see you just have two more cookies to make. I will doing Thumbprints too with various jellies and jams....can't mess with DH's peanut butter cookies. He only wants them plain and only from my ancient B&G's recipe!
Hope the dentist can take care of the tooth easily.
LOL! At least she warned you so you can't exactly hold her liable! Altho I think she's the devil incarnate for tempting us with yummy peanut brittle!
Ouch! Hope you get the tooth fixed pronto!
Oh, and peanut brittle is delish!
Oh, that looks good! Back when I was 12 or so I broke a jaw tooth in half eating peanut brittle! I don't think I've ate it since! lol In defense of the peanut brittle which was store bought, it was a baby tooth and my adult tooth was under it already up. That was the first time a dentist had to pull a tooth for me.
Hope your tooth doesn't have any major damage!
Merry Christmas!
Angela
The brittle looks good but OH no on the tooth, I am scared to death of the dentist! I am 46 and my DH has to go to dentist with me. Well okay someone has to drive because I am usually a little medicated or I cannnnnnnot go to the dentist... Hope it can be fixed easy.
Oh no did you chip a tooth? I am so sorry. Hope it was worth it! Sounded good though.
