STATEMENT:
This, my blogger buddies, is a pretty green glass bottle with a cute little cork stopper which was a Christmas gift from a very dear friend and, as you can see by the label, it says "JP's Vanilla."
QUESTION:
Now, did I ever tell you I write poems?
ANSWER:
This one is appropriately called:
It's Empty
Baking season...it begins in the Fall.
Sometimes friends give the best gifts of all.
Do you think that if I drove down the hill
My friend would give me another refill???
P.S. Oh, I can hardly wait to get the comments on this one!!!!...:)

LOL, I think I have enough for a refill. The Powells really liked theirs too. Shame on me for not doing up another batch - I need to go buy some vanilla beans to make more!
Didn't know you could make vanilla.. You girls are so clever.
If you came to my house I couldn't give you but a Tablespoon or more , I just have one of those small bottles that cost a fortune at the grocery store.
I laughed when I read your blog this morning. Gosh, I wish I lived closer to you and varunner.. Such fun it would be....~! and I could sit on your porch...
Great poem! Beautiful bottle! Hope you can get some more. I've never had the homemade vanilla before but I have heard that it is the best. I buy a big bottle of it at Sams Club for the price of those little bottles at the store. Last year I read on a blog that I follow, Granny Sue's News and Reviews, made her own with the vanilla beans and I think it was Rum. She too gave it out as Christmas presents. I haven't ever noticed vanilla beans in our stores around here. I've not looked either though.
Happy Halloween!
