A Cake of My Own

Growing up, my Sister and I always shared a birthday cake.  We were born four years and two days apart so when it came time to celebrate, the cake was always given to us on the 29th of December.

Once we grew up and were on our own, we always laughed and insisted that we have our own cakes.  She lived in Florida and I in Connecticut so our love for each other was what we shared, not cakes.

This year, a very good friend, knowing the story, surprised me with this...
a ricotta pie...a few days after my 70th birthday.

just seeing, saying and sharing...

Thanks for stopping by to comment on my solar solutions post. I was an only child and never had children so don't have any family left. It must be wonderful to have a sister to share such great memories with. - Margy
