Tough Guy

Originally, I wanted to show you a few pix...you know...a pesky Blue-Jay, a beautiful Eastern Bluebird, an over zealous Nuthatch and an immature female Cardinal.

HOWEVER....this past week, when I came up from downstairs and peeked out the slider, I spotted this fellow at the feeders.

Trying to sneak from the kitchen into the dining room in order to get to the chair in the corner where I keep my camera (which is to the right of the slider), I popped off the lens cap and started clicking.  Not the most perfect shots...but gosh, he was HANDSOME...:)

 just seeing, saying, and sharing...

There are times that I do not fill my feeders, because of Tough Guys! The Sharpies come every fall. I know, they all have to eat. I do not want to set the little ones up, when I know the Sharpies are watching and waiting. GREAT pictures!

It looks like a Coopers Hawk. Very handsome indeed but wouldn't be welcome here because he/she would make my hens very nervous.

JP, I generally don't associate hawks with bird feeders but I guess if he learns that the song birds are around that would attract. Nice photos. Sylvia D.
