Friends

Yesterday, I walked into the woods to take a peek at the Eagles.

However, I was sidetracked.

The most beautiful song was coming from the female Eastern Towhee, totally stopping me dead in my tracks along the trail.

Then, just as I was about to set up my folding stool, the Catbird began serenading me.  I just couldn't resist.

Before I knew it, this one joined in...:)

Finally, I heard the soft, low chirps of the adult as it re-entered the nest.  When I got up to leave, one adult followed me home...again.

As I exited the trail at the edge of the woods, there was just one more beauty waiting. Yep, it was a good day...:)

just seeing, saying, and sharing...

It sure was a good day. Is this usual behaviour for eagles.....making sure their friends get home safe and sound?

They are all so pretty. My husband often tells me how wonderful the birds sound in the morning here at the lake. With my hearing disability I have to rely on the visual. No quarrels, I'll take it any way I ca get it. :)
