In Case You Don't Know....

it's the little things that matter most

While in the woods the other day observing the Eagles, I heard something rustling behind me. Turning to see what it was, I spotted this:

(Here, let me zoom out a tad...)

Then, this morning, while watering the planters along the stonewall, I spotted this:

talk about biting off more than you can chew!

And THEN, driving home from Tai Chi the other night, I spotted this:

See, I told you it's the little things that matter most!

So true.

I know it's the cycle of life but I feel sorry for the toad. Once I found a Copperhead which had a half swallowed rat. Silly me, I like neither, but I removed the rat and tried to revive it! Knowing it was an impossibility I still tried.

Great pictures and great thoughts.

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "a walk in the woods". I think I would be wearing stiff boots if I lived near you.

very nice captures although I'm sure the frog would disagree with the one.

Hello, I enjoy all the little things and walks in the woods. Cute chipmunk. Poor froggie! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and the week ahead.

I don't know what happened. I started typing and hit something by mistake and my comment disappeared. You may or may not get my comment twice. I said I'd be tempted to kill the snake to save the frog, but I have no use for snakes anyway.

You are so good at getting posts up. I think you post every day...don't you? I was trying to post once a week with Jenny's Warm Heart Wednesday, but she's had to stop. I need to find another event to participate in so I read and post at least once a week!

The little things are important, but if you are a frog, you need to keep an eye on the long thin things as well!

Oh my...snakes! The rattlesnakes are coming out of hibernation where I live and we have to be watchful for them when we hike.

You are so right. Just taking time to look around makes a difference in what you get to see.
