Sights Unseen

Image result for chilis restaurant

Another road trip for the Pres and I today.  Meeting my daughter for an early lunch while she's visiting our oldest grandson here in Connecticut.  Hopefully, if the Pres agrees to do the driving, I can get a few photos....of who knows what.  Although lunch will be at Chili's, a place that the Pres has been itching to go to, we've never been out that way.

Meanwhile I wanted to show you what Mother Nature has done to the Pres' deer target.  In case you're having a hard time deciphering the photo, it is covered with what appears to be a type of moss.

Taking the pictures of it, all I thought of was what a cute life-size "Chia pet" it would make.

Remember the Hairy Woodpecker that I caught drilling a hole into the neck of the high density foam target?

Well, last week, I spotted a nest inside the neck!

So, do you think if I sprinkled Chia seeds all over the deer target in the Spring they would grow?

I think it would look adorable...:)

The deer looks pretty cool with the moss all over it. Mother nature must have thought it was cold and needed some fur. I think it would look pretty cool as a chia pet too

Ch-ch-ch-Chia!! I think the deer would be awesome as a life-size Chia Pet!!
Chili's is one of my favorite chain restaurants. I almost always go for the Southwestern Egg Rolls. YUM!!

Good morning, LOL! I like your Chia deer. Is the nest a bird's nest? Chili's is one of my favorite restaurants too.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, have a great weekend!

Very interesting!
As for Chili's, their Tilapia (grilled fish) is good, and I also like their Chicken Flatbread. And if you order corn on the cob it is a whole ear! My husband usually orders the Bottomless Chili Bowl (it comes with all the chili, salad, and chips with salsa that you want). And we think their chips are the very best - thin and crisp!
Have a great day!

Lots of mood and algae here too as it has been so warm. I saw a car the other day covered in algae and had to wonder if it had been drug out of a lake.

how smart of that woodpecker...although on second though, maybe not too smart to pick that spot for a nest. i assume now, the pres will not be doing any target practice!!! they do pick the oddest places for nests!!!

the deer looks "interesting" i think it already looks like a chia....

i like the snow on your blog. i am still waiting for my first snow at the jersey shore!!!!

The woodpecker is smart to make a nest in the deer.
Beautiful pictures.

Nature can make the best of anything...even a styrofoam deer.
