More Gifts

Mother Nature , in the form of a snowstorm named Jonas, came by Saturday. She left us with a beautiful white landscape.

And shadows...lots and lots of shadows, thanks to the warm, bright sun.

Loved your photos. Have you ever seen something with snow on and not even realized what it could be. :) I hope you are feeling fine today. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

It looks beautiful there with the fresh snow. We could use some...sort of....not that I really want any but....it's getting kind of bare in spots here. LOL

considering the way I feel about snow I would have sent the gift back but since you like it and were hoping for some then it's a good gift :)

It sure looks pretty! When did they start naming snow storms? I don't remember hearing that in the past, but if they're up to the letter "J" already I guess it's been happening for a while. Hurricanes have been named for years, so I kind of expected that, but all of a sudden there was Super Storm Sandy. I had never heard of a Super Storm before. I'm going to have to google and try and find out what's going on.

Lots of snow, but it really is pretty. It makes for some dramatic shadows too.

Came back after I found out about named storms. Hurricanes and Tropical storms have been named for years by the National Weather Service. Naming winter storms came about in 2012 thanks to the Weather Channel although there was a television station in CT (of all places) that had already been naming them. More info at www.bustle.com.

I love seeing the sun after a snowfall. Not only for the gorgeous shadows but the sparkle everywhere!
