Sweet Tooth

Parts of our shaded yard are perfect for Hostas such as this .  One of many varieties in the yard, they grow lush.  Dotting the perimeter of the yard, they provide wonderful contrast in both color and texture to the flowers.

Of course, when something comes along with a big ol sweet tooth, they don't have a chance!

And when the sweet tooth is insatiable, things really look bad...:(

I found the culprit.
She was heading next door in search of goodies.

Your lush plants just too much of a temptation, I guess. :)

I have seen some very similar hostas at my cabin, and the same innocent look off in the edge of the woods.

that kind of looks like the pepper plants we had out back. I think the culprit was a rabbit

So sad, you losing your hosta... but you got to see that neat looking deer. There's always some good that comes out of something bad.
