Walking The Tracks

Within a few miles of us are train tracks which run along the river.

I love walking them.

as a child in KY our favorite family outing was walking the tracks up Pine Mountain.. there was a trestle and a tunnel and under the trestle was a beautiful creek and we would climb down and shoot cans with daddy rifle..

Stunning! And the sun is waiting at the end. Just like it is for all of us. Do you ever hear the whistle? We have tracks very close and know what time the trains come, we can hear the rumble of the tracks and the mournful whistle.

A lovely photo, JP! We hear the trains in the morning over in Brunswick Maryland, and you can walk the W&OD trail nearby, but I've never done it. Sometime maybe I will!

I hope you're doing well, and if you're going to get snow, enjoy and stay safe!

It's a beautiful photo. You have me a bit concerned about you walking the tracks, though.

Great sun flare! Railway tracks are great places for walking (as long as a train doesn't come along).
