Bring On The Magic

Playing outside with the dogs on Friday before the "storm" came, I got some cute shots.  Here in NE Connecticut, it's been a pretty dull and uneventful Winter thus far as far as the weather goes.  Yet, the fungi looked content though.

But like a little kid, I couldn't wait to see what we were in for.  You know I've been wishing and hoping for some white stuff.  Waking up at 4:45 so I could be awake when it happened and throwing on my coat (which did not go well with my jammie bottoms!), I headed outside.

With daylight, the "storm" hit with full force and watching the Pres and Doves weathering it made me appreciate them even more.

Then it was time for the magic.

It was everywhere!

Sharing with you and those at

Tomorrow night, we're supposed to be getting a Nor'easter so
bring on the magic...:)

Your snow pictures are so pretty. I'm picturing you rushing outside first thing in the morning to watch the snow arrive. I wish I could be that enthusiastic about snow

Beautiful photos! I love the ones of the fungi. They are very artistic looking. And the snow is magical when it's gently falling. I think this nor'easter won't be as kind or pretty to look at until it's passed us all. Take care and be safe.

They say you're in for some severe weather. I hope you cope with it and it's not too disrupting. Those fungus look magnificent.

Stay warm and safe, and do enjoy bringing on that magic, because as it falls it's wonderful, but like your photos show, the aftermath is magical too! Stay well little birds too!

Hm, I take the magic of winter snow for granted - I'm glad you got to share some JP! Fabulous collage of the fungi, interesting species.
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday.
Thought I'd mention that the designer for my blog insisted on a small number of labels for a professional look - it was hard to think of categories to fit all posts.

I really enjoyed the last photo collage, JP. We had some snow over the weekend, about 6 inches, and yes we are expecting a lot more overnight tonight and into Tuesday. So far, we have nothing here, but it is snowing heavily in our native NJ according to a text message from my brother who lives there.

We finally got our first snow Saturday which was just a dusting really. All of that melted Sunday, but it snowed a little today. I think that is still on the ground. I've been waiting for a good snow to hit us, but it isn't in the forecast yet. I've been thinking about you all day and the big snow you will get tonight and tomorrow. I know you are prepared for it so I'm happy about that. I can't wait to see some pictures of some deep snow!
