Morning, Doves

Sipping my coffee in the morning and gazing out the window looking North, the rising sun's rays fill one of my picture windows with sunlight and warmth.  Yet too far away for me to determine what it is sitting in the tree, I grab zoomer.

Doves warming their backs in the morning sun.

doves are my second favorite of birds, pelicans hold first place. Doves are so sweet and their cooing makes me feel full of peace...

I love the sound of their fluttering wings as they take off. They seem like such gentle birds.

Doves are wonderful to wake up to...I loved having my morning coffee and listening to their cooing. Haven't seen but one dove here, at our current residence, and that's been several weeks ago.

Apparently they don't have enough sense to go south.

You had quite the little gathering of the doves. They are pretty birds.

I love mourning doves! On a vacation in Texas we stopped at a KOA one night and the campground had so many of them peacefully cooing! When I hear a dove coo it reminds me of that trip.

Lovely to have doves, sunning and resting nearby. We get many of them as well.

Beautiful scene. We have doves in our back garden that gather the seed that falls out of our finches' cage. We often here their little cooing sound early in the morning.
