Busy Baking

With Thanksgiving just a few days away it was time to take the Butternut Squash out of the freezer and begin making the Pumpkin Pies for everyone.  Following the recipe that the Pres wrote when he was in grammar school, it warmed my heart.

  Why?

First...because it was handwritten by him.
Second...it was laminated by my MIL years ago and given to ME.

Wow, you are baking family history. And GRAMMER school? He made this recipe himself? He must be a wonderful cook.

I just made some bread with the butternut. I have had them keep until February. I make a ravioli also with them.
