Living Large

Kayaking this week,
 working in the yard,
tending the flowers beds,
listening to the trees whisper in the wind
as I walked toward the sounds of a hungry crying chick...

it's all what I love about living here...

Connecticut's Last Green Valley

Sharing with you and those at

What do you like best about where you live?

You live in a very beautiful area, as do I. I like the lush green of our hills and valleys and the beautiful rivers flowing through and the farm fields with crops and cows. We are blessed! Have a great week JP.

You are so fortunate in living where you do and I have always yearned for country living since we had to leave the farm when I was 6 all those years ago.
Although we live in suburbia, it is a lovely leafy suburb and is quiet with no disturbances in our lives. We are also fortunate we now have underground power as a tornado caused a lot of serious damage in our neighbouring suburb last night. Heard it but nothing bad happened where we are. Lucky.

Looks beautiful to me too! I'm glad you appreciate your surroundings and still enjoy what you see.

Hmm..sometimes we forget to think about things like that. I am very grateful for where I am. The place, however, is becoming 'not right for me' and we are on a waiting list for a condo in a seniors residence.

i love listening to whispering trees. when the wind is blowing, the sound of the wind in the palms behind our house is beautiful. they whisper in just a breeze and also sometime rattle. i love the sky here, when we used to drive back home from a visit to Savannah, we always siad we don't need a sign to tell us we are back in Florida just look up at the sky.

JP, you live in a beautiful area! Is it really the last green valley in Connecticut? If so, that is depressing! What I like about where we live is the privateness. I can slip out into the veggie garden in my gown or even sit on the front porch in my jammies. Hugs, Linda@Wetcreek Blog

So beautiful where you live. I don't know how people stand living in a big city. I guess it's all in what you like

It's obvious you love where you live and it is beautiful. I live in the suburbs, but if you look out our back it's all grass and woods and you wouldn't know you lived so near a city. Filled with the sound of birds. And we love it!

What is so nice about your decorating style, is that everything is interchangeable. Your home is very welcoming. Enjoy your weekend,

We enjoy the quieter and slower pace of life here, and the friendliness of people we've met, much different than when we lived in NJ for sure.
