Just Lie

Sure, I love the snow.  I always have.  This week we were inundated with the white stuff.  It began Monday with a storm that left us with 6 inches of heavy, wet snow. It started around 7 when I was outside with the dogs.  We had just returned from our walk and I was listening to the adult eagles chatter near their nest.  It was beautiful!

By Wednesday, another storm was on our doorstep, leaving us with snow, sleet and freezing rain.  Not my favorite, but it was fresh.  It was white and it did cover up all the brown that was everywhere in the yard!  It was, once again...beautiful!

I am sick of BROWN!  Good thing, too, because we are getting another snowstorm this weekend!

Is it still brown where you live? (Could you lie and say yes,...just to make me feel good?)

No lie needed. Under all the white stuff it's very brown here

Lovely images and cool goose shot. It has been too cold here for the last snow to melt. And we are expecting more snow today and tomorrow. I do not think this winter will ever end. Have a happy weekend!

We have a lot of green in our area year round so I'm not sick of brown. I notice it most when Tuck and I go walking to the marsh. Today we have a lot of gray and rain. My favorite besides snow!

If I told you we have golden fields, would you believe me? That is what our dry, dead grass looks like and has all winter. Around here, green means work and heat. White, oh, we almost never see that color! The only brown is in my raised veggie beds . Need to get them ready for planting! Hugs and keep warm, Linda@Wetcreek and Wetcreek Museum Blogs
