J is for...

JAIL
Away from the hotels and restaurants the Aruban JAIL sits on the southwestern portion of the island. Although we have a few pictures of it, I must admit that sometimes ignorance is bliss.
As you can see by the picture, we kept our distance. Even though we have been here many, many times, we respect the lives and culture of the locals.

It does seem to be an awfully large facility for such a small island but, that will remain a question in my mind.

Hard to accept the harsh reality of crime and jails in such a paradise.

Interesting. It's hard to see lives of crime anywhere. And they are always huge facilities.
