Will It Ever Go Away?

Not the memory of what happened on that dreaded day...

I will always remember that and cherish those that lost their lives.

But rather of

the feeling I got when the Pres told me

we were heading to the Chief's Office so he could volunteer.

Beaming with pride...

respect...

and

admiration,

yet

hiding

the fear of him going.

This day september the 11th should never ever be forgotten. I am sure that it will not. Just the area of the twin towers , will remind us of it.
A brave man to offer his voluntary services.
Is he a fireman!
thinking of all the Americans and other nationalities that died that awful day.

nice post JP

Married to a retired firefighter, I can well understand your concern, JP. We should always remember those who died saving others.
