Sunday Nap

Today, after working in the yard until my back refused to bend over any more, I flopped down in one of the rockers on the patio.  Moon and Copper had come over and while Copper sprawled out in the shade on the grass...dare I say lawn?...Moon worked diligently on her own spot.  She dug the hole just deep enough to fit her curled up body while her head rested on the rim just like a pillow!

They are so darn smart, using the cool earth to rest their weary bones!
There's nothing like an afternoon nap on Sunday...:)

She looks so comfortable in her dog made bed! lol My Two loves to lay in my sons sandbox. I tell him that Two is playing in his sandbox when we aren't home because when we come home that is where she is laying usually! lol It's so funny to see!

Just such a restful photo. I hear deep breathing or could it be a gentle snore? Following you. Do pop over to see me.

baby digs a hole when she is scared, hot or cold, seems the dirt cools and heats and protects.

doesn't she look sweet all curled up in her earth bed. Duke has a hole dug out under the forsythia that he likes to lay in when it gets too hot

Animals are smart. My cats go under the deck as soon as it gets hot. No more sunbathing for them.
