With Friends Like This

Has this ever happened to YOU?

The other day, the forecast called for yet another winter day to be filled with sunshine and warm temps.  So I thought I'd set out the clothes rack to get that fresh air smell on two throw rugs, a pair of my corduroys, a turtleneck and a few personal items.

Then Moon began to bark.  I was busy doing something upstairs in the kitchen and didn't rush to see what she wanted.  I didn't rush to see what was the matter because it wasn't her "stranger" bark.  It wasn't her "help me 'cause Copper's bothering me" bark.  And it wasn't her "I need more food" bark.  It was one I'd never heard before.  Apparently it was her "Something's wrong" bark aka "Mom, your laundry just got blown over and is in the mud bark."

Thank goodness for friends like this...:)

yes, it has happened to me, several times. and isn't it funny odd how they have different barks for different things. baby has a special I HATE YOU bark for the mail man, it is fast and frantic and LOUD, we call it the mail man bark. she has the Woof bark for open the door, the wood gurgle bark for put the pink blanket on my pillow. gotta love them

Good job Moon. Now you have a new bark to add to your collection.

It's not Moon's fault that we're slow to learn Dog.

I'm still trying to interpret Cat :)

I am glad you can understand the different barks, I do, too. I just can't understand the people who say, dogs can't talk.

Around here that bark would quickly be followed by a "Molly didn't want to see you to see your clothes in the mud so she's eating them!" bark. She's still in that puppy stage where she eats anything that doesn't try to eat her first.

Good job Moon. Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out which bark Duke is using. Some of them have multiple meanings :)
