Sleeping Dogs

Ever since I can remember I've always loved the painting Master Bedroom by Andrew Wyeth.  As you can see I have it hanging in one of our bedrooms.  Actually it's in the room with my mother's bedroom set.

One day, as I looked out the downstairs bedroom window, this is what I saw.  Dashing into my office so I wouldn't miss the shot and grabbing the camera out of the antique desk, I couldn't wait to draw back the lace curtains.

There she was my sleeping dog and although she wasn't on or near the Master Bedroom, it didn't much matter to me.

Very cute! Although I'm guessing your own pup would be ever so much more comfy on that beautiful quilt rather than the snowy grass!

My sister has that print also, it's one of my favorites too.

she is sleeping in her master bedroom. so precious. and i went to the museum and pulled up the painting and it is magnificent and i would love it hanging on my wall. I will find my photo of our Max sleeping on our kingsized bed, he was our Master Bedroom Master Piece and i want to cry remembering him. we had him for 16 years. and his place in our home when we were gone was the same as this painting.

Andrew Wyeth is my favorite artist - and i have that print hanging in our bedroom, too. i also copied his "Christina's World" when I was in high school. it hangs here above my computer desk. :)

Great shot. Yes, I always loved that painting too. Even though, before these two dogs I have, I always had black labs, I could relate!
