Holy Carbohydrates!

The other night, the Pres made us steak, sauteed peppers and onions (fresh from the garden) and some of our Russet potatoes, also fresh from the garden.  I ate the whole thing, savoring every delicious bite!

Yep, the Pres is planning a garden in CT along with Black Raspberries (to make his infamous jelly) and a few Blueberries as well.  This move will be good for him too.  It's wonderful to hear him talking about the "future" again...freezing corn with the kids, having them over on their days off, etc.  It's as if, this move is giving me the "old Joe" back.  He even walked the mountain with the dogs and I the other afternoon!

That Prez is an all right guy. I think he is a real keeper. Steak and potatoes with garden veggies, what could be better. I'm counting down the days with you.

Sounds like the move will be good for everyone.

Why don't I see any peppers and onions on your plate?

I need to get you the recipe for Tennessee Jam Cake. It uses blackberry jam and is SO yummy!

Ohhhh, that potato looks soooo good! Change can be so revitalizing. I think it's good for us all, once in a while.

So good to hear that you're looking forward to it. Moving can be really stressful at times.

While moving can be hard, it seems that this is the "right" time for you both. That dinner does look good. We had prime rib last night as a treat when Grenville returned from a weekend seminar and thankfully a local restaurant cooked it, not me.
