From My Corner

Trying to allow myself downtime, each day around mid afternoon I head outside to "my corner," which sits directly outside the mudroom door.  Positioned right next to my eighteen year old worn potting bench, my chair awaits.  Using my old sidekick to rest my beverage, my book or my work gloves and clippers on, I sit and allow myself to breathe...just breathe, listening to the Doves cooing in the distance.

And this is what fills my senses...the fragrance of honeysuckle is carried on each swirl of breeze.
This is what I see.

Turning my head in the direction of those cooing Doves, I await the deer to sit and watch them nibble away at the clover.

Gosh, "letting go" will be hard.

If it stays this hot you won't have such a hard time heading north! Yesterday sure was a scorcher!

It is hard to leave something you love so much...but....you will have adventure and challenge to look forward to. You will be able to create a whole new corner for yourself.

Where are you going? I hope you will be back soon because I too would have withdrawals. Your hollow is so lovely.

Your hollow is beautiful. JP. I can see why it will be hard to leave.

I have missed why you are leaving. It must be important to take you away from something you enjoy so much.

It will be hard - but you have a lot of things to look forward too.

Is it hot there?

What beautiful, relaxing photos. Here in Albuquerque, my home is surrounded by dirt and rocks!

Looking at those pictures makes me sad you are leaving it. I sure hope you can find something equally beautiful.

Funny, as we were resting on the porch around 11 AM yesterday, I thought the same thing....about how beautiful and peaceful it was. I even took pictures too.
