A Woman's Work Is Never Done

Fighting an on again/off again ear ache, sinus, cough thing with a constant dripping down my throat, I spent a few days...all day...in my jammies.  Feeling physically and emotionally drained, I have not been the epitome of health that I usually am.  My vim and vigor has vacated the premises.

So today, as I tell myself how much I'm worth it...I am doing absolutely NOTHING!  Yes, a Sunday snooze is a great idea!

Of course, that will be after I walk up the mountain with the dogs this morning, do one load of laundry (because yesterday I did the sheets and darks), weed a little and clip flowers that are spent because of the all the rain we've had and finish washing windows!

Do YOU ever feel like you never get caught up or is it just me?

How I WISH I had windows like that! Mine are heavy and old and someone has to be on the outside while you go through a series of up and down lifting panels till it's all clean! A whole day of UGH!

Have fun with your cleaning! Must mean it's not raining there!

I'm not sure you get the concept of a LAZY Sunday, lol! I really hope you feel better quickly! That's the same kind of stuff that started all my mess, yuck!

Be lazy!

Don't let those sinuses go too long like that...the last thing you need is an infection. Happy cleaning/napping!

JP, you know I am never caught up. How could I be when I have 4 boys working against me?

I hope you feel better.

Hope your sinus problem clears up soon. The thing about chores, it's repetitive...they'll always be there no matter how many times you do them!

i feel like i never get caught up every day of my life, and that is because I don't. i do wish I had windows that do what yours do. but i would still hate cleaning them. hope the feel bad thing is gone by now.

The title says it all and, from this end of life's journey, no, you never get caught up. That's the JOY of living a life filled with those we love and things to do. But, I do wonder whether or not you have a dictionary because you really do need to look up 'lazy'... just sayin'

Oh, JP I'm so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Of course you are so active that even if you have slowed down you are still way ahead of the rest of us. I hope you feel better. Have some tea, maybe a muffin, and take a nap.

Funny you mention it -- I'm really going to try to get some deep spring cleaning done this week.

Hope you feel better, JP. Don't work too hard.

Hope you get better JP! I was sick for a solid 2 months and I'm still not back to full speed. The allergy medicine is making it hard for me to get to sleep at night but yet I can sleep all morning with no problem at all. I'm just exhausted.

I had great dreams that I would finally reclaim my house once I had both kids in school all day. It didn't happen. I can't keep up with regular things and do the things I had hoped to do too! Right now my living room and kitchen look terrible. I'd hate for someone to drop by the house!

Hope you feel better!
Angela
