Aruba...Sunshine Sunday

Early in the morning, while everyone else sleeps, I am up absorbing, observing and cherishing the simple beauty of it all....

Then I begin the simple task of watching two little birds building their nest.  As I wander around the poolside, I pick up pieces of string here and there and place it in the sand for them to use, hoping it will solidly their home.

They actually used it!!!  I was so tickled to see that it came in handy.  Nest Building 101.  Who would have thought?

Love this! Last time we were in Bermuda I fed the local stray cats milk from our breakfast. I wanted to take one home.

There is something wonderful about early morning time when on a tropical vacation, isn't there? I do the same thing -

What a wonderful story. Lovely to know you will have helped those babies have a cosy home. :)

How cool...subcontracting a bird nest. Co-operation between the species. I can just hear them, two or three years down the road, twittering to their grandchildren about the time the big two legged things helped them build their nest.

And you got a picture!!!! I've heard that birds will even use dryer lint.

Have fun soaking all that up :)

I've done the same thing with the little ends of yarn I snip off my crochet projects when I finish them. It is so much fun to find a nest with bright colored yarn woven into it.

Even many miles away -- you are still involved in your natural surroundings. Love it. :)
